LF Lotus Home

From 2007 – 2010 The LFF has built and operated an environmental and child friendly shelter located in Lard Bua Luang, Nonthaburi province, approximately 1.5 hours from Bangkok city center in the direction of Ayuthaya. Set in a quiet rural location amongst rice paddies, and constructed using traditional building techniques and low cost materials, the shelter has served as a home for Thai children in need.

The Lotus Home has also acted as ‘model shelter’ and training center for caregivers from shelters throughout the country.

Since 2011 an efficient local non-profit organisation under supervision of Acharn Phet and Mae Chee Brigitte have taken over the Lotus Home in Nonthaburi. The new responsible lead the Lotus Home as a Buddhist Centre of Learning. The home offers educational programs and has open doors for children in need from throughout the region.
