LFF Academy & Lotus Flower Blossom Program
“Education is the key to prevention”

LFF believes in consistent training and transfer of knowledge as essential components in the long-term approach to solving key issues related to abused children’s welfare in Thailand.

As such, LFF is establishing an LFF Academy, a non-profit hub scheduled to open in early 2009 in Nondburi. The Academy will train shelter care-givers from shelters throughout Thailand that work with abused children between the ages of 0 and 6. The goal of this training is to prevent reoccurring abuse in the shelters through a structured plan which optimizes the abused orphans’ reintegration process into society: The Lotus Flower Blossom Program (LFBP).

The Lotus Flower Blossom Program is a curriculum developed by LFF. It is tailored to the deep needs of abused orphans and incorporates parts of the Montessori philosophy, life skill and trauma relief methodologies. The curriculum was carefully crafted by a network of professionals from the fields of education, psychology, trauma relief, environmental protection, life skills and alternative medicine.

LFF launched LFBP in April 2008 as a pilot project. The program trains 14 care-givers from various Thai social welfare shelters that work with abused and trafficked children between the ages of 0-6 (Phayathai Child Center, Pakkred Child Center, Pakkred Emergency Home for Boys, Thanyaporn Emergency Home for Girls and Rangsit Child Center) and 4 care-givers of CPCR. Trainings take place at the Art of Living Meditation Center in Bangkok.
