To quote LFF founder Gabrielle von Reding: “child care in shelters can only be as good as their care-givers’ dedication to their charges. In many shelters care-givers become exhausted and quickly “short-circuit” leading to a high turnover in staff. We believe that it is essential to address this issue, and as part of the Holistic Heath Programme, the LFF are now providing care-givers with tools and services that will promote their self-healing, and balance their Body, Mind and Soul in daily life.” The launch of the program was held at the LFF Home for Children, where staff were thoroughly examined on various health issues including back pains and migraines. 08 February 2010, More children arriving at the LFF Home for Children

NewsOne of the effects of the worldwide economic crisis on Thailand is a growing number of children in need. Recent research has shown an increase in the number of neglected children in the Bangkok suburbs. One of the causes of this is the breakdown of healthy family structures. Many of the neglected children's parents have separated, or have migrated to the city for work. The children that have been left behind have little, or non-sufficient, care and out of desperation parents or family members are bringing or leaving the children at shelters such as the LFF Home for Children. The LFF carefully screens each case, and where possible, works with family members to find the best solution for each child.
